Will the Rain Ever Stop?

Sunshine can make a big difference in somebodies attitude. We have had about 4 weeks of rain and I was beginning to consider building an Arc. Today the sun came out and brisk wind started to dry up the wetness in the fields and lawns. As I walked around town, I noticed how friendly and positive my neighbors were.

John Denver's song, "Sunshine on my Shoulders" came to mind. It is true that sunshine can make a difference in all our lives.

Tornado Alley Expanded

It use to be that only a few states in the US were considered a part of tornado alley. With the recent rash of them, that may have to change.

My area of the neighborhood got hit hard last Friday. At first, I thought it was bad. However, after what has been happening in the Southern part of the US, I consider us somewhat lucky.

I don't know what is worst the quick destruction by tornado's or the slow rising rivers of the floods. both have had a major influence on our country. The Governor of the state of Georgia said that they have no money to assist those in his State. He is hoping Fema comes through with financial aid.

Just about the time our country starts to turn things around financially, something happens. These disasters along with the rising cost of gasoline are beginning to take their toll on us. One thing that stands out is how neighbors help neighbors. Tough times tend to rally citizens together. The American spirit is still alive.

Understanding the X Games

The X Games begin this week in Shanghai. The X Games are made up of four different events. Those events are Skateboards, BMX biking, In Line Skating and Moto Cross Racing. These are extreme sports that many individuals don't care to try. However, for a certain group of individuals, it is what they live for.

If you enjoy action and extreme sports, these are the games to watch. One thing these games will do is give you a better understanding for how these games work.

This years games run from April 28 through May 2. Espn will be covering the games for two hours each of these days. Check your listing schedule for times.
